Sick Notes and Test, Track and Trace information
‘Sick Notes’ when you are in Self Isolation
You do not need a ‘sick note’ from your GP if you are in self-isolation. If you have been notified of the need to self-isolate you can obtain an ‘Isolation Note’ by completing the questionnaire at https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/
This service is for people who:
- have symptoms of coronavirus
- live with someone who has symptoms of coronavirus
- have been told to self-isolate by a test and trace service
Use this service if you have been told to self-isolate because of coronavirus and you need a note for your employer.
Test, Track and Trace
Test, Track, and Trace is now well underway (a detailed explanation of how it works is available Track and Trace June 2020 ). As with all things, patients need to be aware of the potential for scammers. Track and Trace will not use a withheld telephone number to telephone or text people that have been in contact with an infected person. They will use an 0300 telephone number. They will not ask you to provide the contact details of other people.
‘Which’ magazine has posted an excellent item on this, which patients may wish to view. It can be found at https://www.which.co.uk/news/2020/06/nhs-covid-19-contact-tracing-message-how-can-i-tell-if-its-real-or-a-scam/
