Dispensary and Prescriptions

The Surgery has a Dispensary so we are able to dispense medications to patients who live more than 1.6km (1 mile) from a chemist. Medicines can be collected between the hours of 08:30 – 18:00 on Monday to Friday.

Outside these hours if you need medicines urgently, please contact 111 or your local pharmacy. Further information is available here.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered via our internet ordering service. Patients need to register for this service and can then order at any time. Please complete and sign the form available from reception and we will create an online account for you. You will also need to provide photo ID (either a photo driving licence or passport), or current bank/utility statements bearing your current address. These will be copied and given straight back to you. We recommend you do not used a shared email address when registering for confidentiality reasons.

Alternatively you can send us your repeat prescription form (with the items you require circled) by fax to 01491 641162, by post or delivered by hand. We no longer  take telephoned prescription requests. Your medicines will be ready for collection 2 working days after we receive your order. If you require a written prescription posted to you, please provide a stamped, addressed envelope.

Medicines are normally given out as a month’s supply at a time. If you pay for your medicines, please ensure that you bring money with you. We may ask to see a proof of any exemption from charges. We accept cash, cheques or credit cards.

We are keen to ensure that patients with on-going medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
